(1) There will be an assembly as the highest body in the university.
(2) The constitution of the Assembly shall be as follows:-(a) Chancellor - Chairman (b) Member, National Planning Commission (Education) - Member (c) / Vice-Chancellor - Member (d) Chairman, University Grants Commission - Member (e)- Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance - Member(s) Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology - Member(s) Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology - Member(s) Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Forests and Environment - Member (j) Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development - Member (h) Two from the vice-chancellors of other universities - Member (t) One from the former vice-chancellors of other universities and educational institutions established according to prevailing laws - Member (l) One from the deans - Member (e) One from the directors - Member(s) Two, including at least one woman from among the professors of the university - Member(s) Representative of the association appointed by the President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association Waniz - Member(s) Industrialists, businessmen, donors, social workers or people who have made significant contributions in the educational or academic field, representing at least two women from all fields - Five members, total Secretary - Member-Secretary (3) Until the appointment of the General Secretary, the work of the member-secretary of the Assembly will be done by any member of the Assembly appointed by the Chancellor.
(4) Other than the ex-officio members as per sub-section (2), the nomination of other members shall be done by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Executive Council. (5) The term of office of the members nominated as per sub-section (2) shall be four years. (6) If a nominated member is vacated due to any reason, another person will be nominated for the remaining period after completing the procedure as per sub-section (4).
